The Art of the Trench

One of the things I truly regret, and always will, is that when I was in Brussels at a little antique market, I didn't buy the ridiculously cheap Burberry trench. I went for a yellow coat instead, that I've worn with much pleasure, but still. If I hadn't been that careful with my money, I could be the lucky posessor of a beautiful Burberry trenchcoat.

The coat is a classic, that's universally known. I think every herself-respecting fashionista should have at least one in her life. To celebrate the trenchcoat and personal style, Burberry launched the website 'Art_of_the_Trench'. Pictures taken by well-known photographers (starting with Scott Schuman from the Sartorialist) and people like you and me, with one leading thread: the Burberry trenchcoat worn around the world. You can filter through all the images by selecting popularity, gender, styling, colour, and even the weather in the photographs. Backed up by lovely tunes featuring the Maccabees, the Kooks and White Lies, this website is truly inspiring!

The outfits I wore a couple of days ago:

Skirt: Zara, tights: V&D, shirt and suspenders: H&M, vest: my mom's

Dress: vintage, shirt: my friend's, tights, socks and ring: H&M, scarf: my grandma's, bag: vintage
A new discovery: the fairy tale like brooches from depeapa. Cute, quirky pieces, handmade with love. They'll look best with a lacy, princess dress, but they're also great to make a simple tee just a tiny bit more special. You can buy them online here.

You know, I'm kind of freaking out when I think of all the homework I have to do today, but instead of doing something about it, I just make pictures and start posting and surfing the internet. Not really the smartest thing to do. Whatever.
This is what I wore today:

Sequin vest: Episode, sweater: vintage, tights: well, I bought them in Denmark. I don't remember the store. Skirt and socks: H&M.
During the Christmas Holiday, I moved my clothes and stuff to my indoor closet: my original closet was getting too small. Here are some (bad) pictures of the results:

I like that I can see every piece of jewellery that I own, so I can match it with my outfit. It's like being in a store, every piece nicely displayed.
I always hope that I learn how to fly...

I bought this top at H&M, illustrated by Laura Laine. It's from the H&M Divided Art collection. It was pretty cheap: €9,95.

Top: H&M, Jeggings: Pieces, shoes: Converse, plaid shirt: vintage Ralph Lauren.
I'd seen her illustrations before in magazines. She draws cute but creepy women, with voluminous wild hair.

Oh, btw, I've decided to post more outfits. Everyday I'm thinking: oh, I should take a photo of this and post it on my blog, but I always forget. Now I'll promise!
